Whether you are a new member or someone who has been here for years we offer many opportunities for you to be involved. Our activities include every age group and ability. Join in on the fun and fellowship!

Advent offers a variety of programs for all types and ages! Join us for one of our ministry events.
Preschool: Offered for ages 2-5.
Kids Night Out: For kids entering grades 3-6. This takes place the 2nd Wednesday of every month.
Vacation Bible School: Offered every summer for children entering preschool through 5th grade.
Jr. High Confirmation: Catechism training for youth entering grades 7 & 8 or high school who wishes to be confirmed in the LCMS Faith. This takes place on Tuesday nights during the school year.
Sr. High Youth: For Youth entering 9-12 grades. They meet every Sunday during the education hour, and also the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month.
Education and Ministry in Training - Young Adults in Ministry: Join us for our Bible Studies and activities. If you are in college, make sure to let us know where you are going to school so we can get you in contact with that colleges’ LCMS ministry group.
Form of Faith: Confirmation for Adults. Whether you are looking to join Advent or a member wanting a refresher course, this is the place for you.
LWML: The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League is the official women’s auxiliary of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.
Care Committee: For everyone of any age with any extra free time. It is a great way to serve others.
Adult Choir: For anyone wishing to join the chorus in song! This group meets on Tuesday Nights at 6:45. For more information contact Phil Spray at 317-887-2802 or e-mail philspray@comcast.net
Youth Choir: This choir meets during the Sunday School hour. It is directed by Deb Trewartha.
Chime Choir: This musical delight is directed by Deb Trewartha. It requires a minimum of seven people. If you are interested in being in this choir contact Deb Trewartha at 873-6318 or dtrewartha@adventlutheran.org
Altar Guild: Please consider spending just a few extra minutes every several Sundays as part of a team preparing Christ’s precious, tangible gift of His body and blood in the sacrament of Holy Communion. Worship Opportunities
Sunday Worship Worship times are 8:15 and 10:45. There is fellowship time and refreshments provided between services.
Midweek Services:
During the seasons of Advent and Lent special midweek services are held to help prepare the congregation for the sacred and special occasions of the high festivals of Christmas and Easter. These services are often preceded by a light supper to help people gather their family and spend time together in worship and prayer.
Thanksgiving Service is held at 10 a.m.
Advent Services 2009: December 2nd, 9th, and 16th 7:00 p.m.
Christmas Eve at 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Christmas Day at 10:00 a.m.
Lenten Services 2010:
Ash Wednesday is February 17th, at 7:00 pm.
Other Lenten Services : 24th, March 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th at 7:00 pm
Palm Sunday Service is March 28th at 8:15 and 10:45 am.
Maundy Thursday is March 31st at 7:00 pm.
Good Friday is April 1st at 7:00 p.m.
Easter is April 4th at 8:00 and 10:45 worship. There is a breakfast provided between services that benefits youth events at Advent.
Reformation Service: Generally on the last Sunday of October Lutherans celebrate the Reformation as a great contribution to the faith of the Christian Church. In 1517 Martin Luther nailed ninety-five theses to the door of the church in Wittenberg, Germany and set forth a storm of controversy that lead to many great “reforms” within the Roman Catholic Church (hence the “reformation”).
