WHAT IS CLASSICAL EDUCATION?

Wisdom, eloquence, and virtue – these are the aims of a classical education.  Education is more than the acquisition of basic skills and mere competency.  The purpose of education is to transform, to elevate, and to refine the mind, body, and soul. 

At the center of classical education is an emphasis on the Good, the True, and the Beautiful.  Classical education is designed to incline the student toward these virtues, guided by the Great Books, mathematical truths, rich history, art, music, and ideas of Western Civilization, while insisting upon the centrality of Holy Scripture.  ​​
